![]() ![]() Playing Shivers 2 immediately after playing Shivers 1 (19 years ago) made Shivers 2 look bad. The patches are from the days of Windows 95/98 when the game was released. ![]() However I don't think this game will work well unless you have an older computer. Both patches seem to be available in the patches-scrolls archive ***here*** The CD version and DVD version both had patches, but the patches were different. ![]() Don't buy both Realms of Illusion and Sentinel thinking they are different games - it's Dreamcatcher up to their old reselling-the-same-game-under-a-different-name tricks. If you liked Schizm 2 you'll probably like Sentinel: Descendents in Time (aka Realms of Illusion). Are you trying to avoid "horror" games? I didn't like Dark Fall: Lost Souls because it was too over-the-top (throbbing pink intestines in the sink), but I thought the previous Dark Fall games were good. These are 1st person point-and-click adventure games. You don't mention Barrow Hill, Barrow Hill: The Dark Path, Dark Fall: The Journal, Dark Fall: Lights Out, or Scratches. Some games, like Cydonia/Lightbringer or Connections, would be hard to get running properly (without excessive crashes, freezes, etc.) on a modern computer. So I don't really know what you're looking for except by the games you've listed as played.ĭo you have access to an old computer with Windows 95 or 98? Some think "anything with puzzles of any sort" "Myst-like" seems to mean different things to different people. The link to the demo on that webpage still seems to work. As we are quite experienced gamers and quite good at puzzle-solving, we usually are able to finish at least one big game and start or solve a shorter one. So in advance, we plan what we are going to play. Once a year, a very good friend of mine comes for a visit and we play adventures games three days in a row, pretty much the whole day, starting after breakfast until deep into the night. ![]()
